A partisan war of words over words...
Amid calls for partisan politicians to tone down their rhetoric following the second assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump, a 10-month old video of progressive Congressman Dan Goldman (D-NY) stating that Trump must be “eliminated” has resurfaced.

Although Goldman’s comments were made 10 months ago, they come amid a time— following the second assassination attempt on Trump’s life in two months—when Democrats and Republicans are having a war of words over words.

On ABC’s The View, Ana Navaro scoffed at those decrying political violence against Trump, stating:
“I kept reading yesterday elected officials on both sides of the aisle tweet out, ‘In America, there is no room, there is no space for political violence’… what America do these folks live in that they think there's no space for political violence?” [More.]
Meanwhile, in the wake of the assassination attempt, the New York Times is chiding Trump for calling on Democrats to tone down their rhetoric, while using his own ‘harsh rhetoric.’
Then, there’s this from the Washington Post:
